Restaurante Campestre los Tres Potrillos, located just off the Guadalajara-Chapala highway, is a culinary gem for lovers of Mexican cuisine. Diners rave about the vibrant atmosphere, enriched by live mariachi music echoing through its spacious, shaded outdoor seating area. The menu highlights primarily feature traditional favorites that don’t disappoint. Many guests, like Sandra O, praise the Arrachera plate and the tender chamorro that practically falls off the bone. Although her experience with carnitas was less favorable—described as overly greasy—her overall impression remains positive, noting the freshness of the chips and the exciting flavors of the salsas.
Patrons such as Freddie V recommend the flavorful appetizers and the refreshing cazuela drink as must-tries, while Hector Molina emphasizes the venue's impressive capacity and entertainment elements. The staff's warm hospitality leaves a lasting impression, as adays zarate can attest, having been kindly served even close to closing time. With excellent service, delicious dishes, and reasonable prices averaging around 250 pesos per person, this restaurant is a perfect stop for anyone in the Guadalajara area eager to enjoy authentic Mexican flavors paired with lively entertainment. A visit to Los Tres Potrillos promises a memorable dining experience that beckons for a return visit.

We started with chips and salsa that were brought to us when we first arrived. The roasted chile salsa was very flavorful. The chips tasted fresh and had a nice crunch. My sister ordered the Arrachera plate, the meat was well flavored and very nice and tender. My brother in law ordered the Ternera en su adobo which also was very flavorful and with the right amount of spices, that were not to over powering. I ordered the chamorro also very nice and tender falling of the bone and very flavorful. Also ordered carnitas de becerro the concept is good just that they were too greasy and fatty. It was a bit too much for our taste. I ordered a vampiro which was meh, but the yerbabuena that we ordered was very good a d refreshing, better than a mojito, since yerbabuena comes blended. I would definitely go back and order everything except for the carnitas. Will for sure visit this place again when we go to Guadalajara. Friendly and attentive staff. The amount spent was about 250 Mexican pesos per/person.

Absolutely loved this place! Although we didn't eat a whole meal, the appetizers were great! And the cazuela drink was awesome! Highly recommend if you love Vicente Fernandez! Live mariachi music and just a great overall atmosphere!

We arrived when they were about to close; however they served us, they explained to us and we asked for extra drinks so we paid! They told us we could stay with the “watch man” and we did..: Jose was very nice and we all felt at home! Fully recommended!

Excellent! Really good service and food was delicious! I had the Arrachera Dinner Plate. Their re-fried beans and Rice are to die for! I will definitely return on my next trip to Guadalajara....And while you’re there, don’t forget to go next door and pay your respects to EL REY

Great food, and an amazing place! It is owned by Vicente Fernandez, a mexican singer/actor which is a legend down here, the food is really tasty, I highly recommend it. Emilio Lopez was our waiter and he is great. Ask for him if you visit this place.

Our meals were good, not great but the service and entertainment were very enjoyable. We really enjoyed our visit with friends and we will come again. More gringos should stop for a meal and visit. Recommend.
